Grays Hut

The hut is a 3 mile, 1600' vertical hike from I-70 at the Bakerville exit. Bakerville is 6 miles west of Georgetown and 5 miles east of Loveland ski area.

At Bakerville there is public parking. You pass an old chimney and begin your hike to the south, up Stephens Gulch Rd. Mt Baker will be to your right and Mt. Kelso straight ahead.

At mile 1.5, take the left fork towards Grays and Torrey’s peaks. The right fork goes up Grizzly Gulch. As you climb, Mt Kelso will be to your right.

At mile 2 at the top of a hill, you pass a large slide path and the Josephine Mine boarding house.

At mile 2.25 you pass another slide path followed by another climb. The hut is located at mile 3 on your left. Look for a 4 pole peeled lodge pole fence section. This is 1⁄4 mile below the Grays and Torreys summer trail-head.
